Innovative approach: ultrasonic inspection of blades

Researchers have tested and endorsed such periodic blade controlling procedures as thermography or monitoring systems. Nonetheless, these techniques are not entirely perfected and the tapping method is still very frequently used.

Having acquired extensive experience in non-destructive testing, we are now offering a control solution that is widely recognized and is used by wind turbine manufacturers themselves as quality checking at the plant – ultrasonic examination.

Equipped with a portable detection device, our technicians will carry out an inspection of all critical parts of a blade. An image of a blade shows defects within one cm. If performed on a regular basis, these inspections will allow to have a precise idea of the condition of the blades and track all changes.

With the cost of a liter of oil reaching 10 Euros, oil change in a gear box becomes a costly operation that in the case of poor handling can do damage to the environment.
